How do I get this crapola off?!

My mom has a black Lexus and we have to park it under a tree. It's basically RAINS sap on it. Wash it one evening to where it is a smooth and shiny as glass. Next morning, looks dull and feels like sandpaper.:wall
It's driving me NUTS! It gets washed off ASAP and the car gets clay bar-ed and re-waxed every time but it's one big PITA! Now there are little tiny white spots all over the hood, roof and driver side where the sap mostly collects. They are about the size of a pen tip and won't come off, even with clay bars or regular wash & wax.

Any ideas on how to remove them?

Sounds like the little white spots might be "dried" sap. It's probably going to take some sort of polish or soaking in someting like an APC to get them off.

If you have to park it under a tree, I suggest getting some type of cover for the car. Even laying some towels on the flat panels is better than it just sitting under a tree getting sapped on.

I would do an APC was hand the polish with Professional Polish ... also as Jared said, you need to either park the car some where else, cut down the tree, or get some type of cover or tent to park under ;)

You can also use mineral spirits to remove sap, comes off very quick then clay and polish with what Steve suggested

Parking in the sun becomes less detrimental to your finish than under a tree doing this. Good luck getting it fixed! Take pics for us. There has to be some alternative to parking under it
