How do I get rids of chemical spots on my plastic gauge cover?!?

I cleaned the gauge cover on my 1999 Prelude SH a while back with gulp armour all and there were some spots where the plastic was discolored. I was assuming because I could not wipe them off that somehow some of it had gotten behind the plastic.

Today I removed the cover and got back there. But quickly found out that the marks are on the face, and seem to be from the chemicals. I tried some good plastic cleaner, and also tried waxing it.

Anyone else have any ideas???

Here are the pics of the cover and the spots.

It is really annonying - see it every day!!!

You might have to resort to a mildly abrasive plastic polish like Novus #2 or the Meguiar's equivalent if no cleaners seem to be working. Have you tried alcohol?

Try acrylicwerks.com. I spoke with Mark from there last night and he was super helpful. Sounds like it would work for your situation.

The Novus line of plastic care products are excellent! Novus #2 will most likely be adequate, but if not, then #3 will certainly do the job.

I was a long time user of Meguiar’s #17, #10, & #18 for my plastic, but the Novus polishes are much better and by far easier to use. Plexus is excellent, but probably not aggressive enough for your chemical spotting.

Good luck!

Where can I purchase Novus?

I usually purchase things from properautocare.com

What are some other good sites? - Especially large ones etc?

Thanks

Container Store?

The only place I could think of (in memphis) that might have it or the Macguires would be Autozone.

Just got back from the largest one in the city, and they didnt have one.

turns out if you order directly there is no shipping charge. So I got a 3 pack for $25.00 even. - Not bad. Will report back.

Thanks
