HOw do I get an even finish with 303?

I like the stuff and used in on my dashboard but it looks uneven. Any tips or tricks to getting an even appearance?

I too used a terry covered foam pad and buffed with a terry towel but for some reason one section looks strange....almost "duller" (is that a word?) than the rest.

I also like to use a foam sponge to buff off the excess. I usually wait about 10-15 minutes before I buff off the residue and and a quick buff with your choice of micro fiber product. It gives it a nice sheen look. I think it gives it the right look. Not to glossy.

I apply it with a foam pad and then wipe off with a MF towel, comes out perfect everytime for me.
 
How do you guys apply 303? I always hear "the less, the better" thing...does that apply here too? Also I noticed that 303 offers no sort of shine at all! It seems to give me my same dull stock look...is this normal?
 
Sounds like there is something already on the plastic causing you problems or simply 303 does not give the shine that you want. Dont forget gloss is a personal thing. There are plenty of other products that will give a higher gloss. Try deep cleaning the plastic first, just to make sure.

Personally I don't want too glossy of a shine, I just want some indication that it's doing something. Maybe it's just me?
 
I like to let 303 sit for a little longer......about 45 mins to an hour and then lightly buff to an even shine using a damp shop cloth. Perfect results every time.
 
I used 303 today for the first time and I LOVE this stuff! I applied it with a foam applicator let ste for 45 minutes to an hour, then wiped down with a MF towel. I didnt have any problems with consistancy of finish. Maybe you do have something on there causing a problem.:nixweiss
 
Has anyone used the 303 on matte black interior plastic? I need something that will not put any sheen on black interior material both smooth and perforated but will protect. I currently have Vinylex and was wondering when watered down, does it cut the shine to a similar level of 303? Thanks.
 
Yes I used 303 on the black plastic and it looks great. I never have cared for the wet greasy look and 303 looks like I want it to. Not to shiny, it just seems to deepen the color and once you buff off the excess it has no greasy feel to it.:up
