The first question has to do with my newly painted trunk lid that was keyed on my new accord. It was painted but they didn't get the scratch fully out and the paint shrunk into the mark and it showed after a week. So they re-painted it today. But during the 1st paint job i found that a bird dropping ate into the new paint. Is there a way to guard against this? I have thought of putting something over it whyen parked in places where it's vulernable. But plasitc may melt into it according to the shop, and i'm afraid clot or similar will leave a pattern in it. It's been hot here lately by the way, which is why thats a concern. So since i can't wax for 6 weeks, is there anything i can use that won't hurt the paint that will protect it? I can't clean it off every hour at work, and thats where it gets nailed often. And i have no other place to park. Any suggestions?
Now the water spots. This is a concern for the entire car, not just the newly painted trunk. Whats the easiest way to remove water spots? wax will do it, but it takes a ton of rubbing which causes fine scratching. Is there a better way?
(yes, i know not to wash in the sun, but i often have no choice)
