hot water extractor

Does anyone have a hot water extractor? Do you use it alot?

Do you like it or not? Does it do a good job on carpet & seats?

I don't have one yet but it is on my list of expensive toys to buy.

I think a lot of people use a steam cleaner instead of the extractor. Think the steam cleaner doesn't make the carpet as wet so the cars dry out faster. Plus the steam will kill odor causing bacteria, like from spilled milk, urine, etc.

When I do a thorough cleaning of my interior I use EF Carpet and Upholstery cleaner a semi stiff brush and a bucket of water. I scrub small sections at a time then I use a Bissell Big Green Deep Clean Machine filled with hot water to extract the soap and dirt. This system works really well and its the only way to remove all the soap and dirt. If I were to ever replace the Bissell it would be for a model with a built in heater.

I've had it quite awhile so I dont remember where I got it or even how much I paid but I just got a PM that informed me that Walmart has the same machine but with a built in water heater for $100. :up Thanks ferrari!

I have a Mytee 1007 for my business. It's really a good investment. I also purchased some professional heads to work on the carpets, and upholstry. I have yet to have a issue with too much water. The vacuum on this thing is so strong that it takes out about 95% of the water put on the fabric.

I would contact Mytee for some information in regards to extractors. There are also a few other brands out on the market that are just as good if not better.

I use mine on average about 4 times a week. Just did a brand new Lexus LS430. The ladies kid got sick all over the back seat and back floor. Took me about 40 minutes from start to finish to do the entire interior and I've done a call back and the smell is still fresh and clean.

Good Luck
