Hopefully my Flex issues are over...

Word. I'll snag that adapter if you do not mind, that is very generous! I'm still using old CMA pads, before LC added more colors into the mix. So I've yet to experience green or blue pads, period.

The adapter you have is for a rotary right? :yourrock

Its for a PC actually. I'm still a little yellow to move up to a rotary. I did take a step in the right direction by getting a Flex DA, but that is still a far cry from a rotary. Anyway, yeah, it is for a PC, so are you still game for it? It's an OCDetails certified used adapter, so I'm sure that carries a heafty value in the detailing world. lol (I wish)

As far as the pads splitting apart, I believe that was due to a design issue with the disc in the middle. They were modifying a larger disc for use in the smaller pads. They don't do that anymore and I haven't had any issue with pads splitting ever since. If they did split then it would be a rounded disc in the middle that is exposed and relatively safe if it were to come in contact with the paint briefly.

Sure. I've still got a PC too. I'll eventually need an adapter for both for foam pads anyway.

Yeah, my ring looks nothing like that.

I'll have to give someone a call and find out what the scoop is.

Please do post any answer(s) you receive. Like many here I'm on the Flex fence and the problems like you are having is the very thing that has put my purchase on hold.
