1. Platinum series XL wash pad with memory foam
2. MEGUIARS Ultimate wash & wax soap.

Busy morning. Member DON wrote about this wash pad and it caught my eye. His review i will include at the end. OMG do not walk, run to wal mart and BUY THIS WASH PAD! It's like the griots i am using (same size) but much thicker and holds more wash solution. 10/10. No marring or otherwise. Just the best wash pad i have used to date. Sleeper of the year product!

The megs wash and wax was a surprize. PLENTY OF SUDS that lasted the whole wash. Pad just glided over the paint. Lubricity was great as well as cleaning ability. Dulition is a bit high. 1 oz to 1 gallon. I used 2 oz in the foam gun and 3 in the griots 6 gallon wash bucket. BOTH produced plenty of foam/suds. I would say the 2 oz is fine in the gun. And you could cut back to 2 oz in the bucket and still get great results. It left no film on the paint or glass. Left the finish looking clean.

To my surprize i guess the damn pollen put a bit of a hurting on my LSP. So i finished up with a quick coat of DP MAX WAX to bring her back.

There you have it. 2 great OTC products. DON'S review of the wash pad...
I have one from Walmart (forgive me) that sounds very familiar to the 'fist.' It has hundreds of 1-1/2 inch "dreadlocks" and it seems that every time I dip it in the soap bucket, half of the water comes out with it. It was fairly cheap, BUT ever since I started using it, I haven't had any wash-induced swirls. It's as thick as three lambs wool mitts and it really holds the dirt deep in the knap. The rinse bucket is unusually clean and I either have to blast it with the hose (on heavy stream) or put it in the washer to really clean it. I just looked it up and it's around $7

Thanks for the props on the wash pad review, I LOVE mine. I'm ready to buy another, just so I can have two. ALL of my other wash mitts have been delegated to tire/rim/door jamb duty.

Sorry to say I disagree with the wash pad. I own one and the fibers are NOWHERE near as soft as the Mirco-Chenille Wash Mitt's sold here and other detail supply sites, it is super heavy when dipped compared to the mirco-chenille and I have used it with 4 or 5 different shampoo's and I never found it to feel slick over the paint surface. JMHO. Even if you think the Supreme Micro-Chenille Wash Mitt sold here is too much you can still go on ADS and get this Autofiber Zero Cuff Microfiber Chenille Wash Mitt which is still much better than the walmart wash pad. But I still like the ones here best.

I compared it with my griots wash pad. Strands are bigger but i feel or see no difference in the softness of the strands.

WELL.....
Upon a few uses, the memory foam is lopsided inside the mitt. LOL. It all went to one side. I'll stick to my griots!!

DON, Are yours doing this? I called CS for the heck of it, and they had a few calls on this. Without asking they are shipping out a new one.

:wow: That was quick! New one at my door this morning at 11am!

And a BONUS. They threw in a MF Wash & scrub sponge.

Washed the escape with it today. I just like the thickness of this wash pad and the solution it holds! Hope this one works out.
