Holograms on Black Ferrari California , correction

Like Yell00ITR said...did you <strong class='bbc'>shake[/b] the bottle???

Jason... LOL I know what you mean..he..he..he..

Just curious... does this stuff have silicon(in the bad form) in it?? Maybe I missed that.

The semi gloss has the good stuf in it PDMS type protectants like 303 etc.

Shake the bottle sometimes the little bottles lose the paper marketing thingy. The smell is a light orangish smell kinda like small oranges or something.

It is good stuff at a cheap price. Something to add to your collection of protectants! Heck I have like 5-6 now. I even have an old bottle of STP crap for the plastic in the wheel wells!

Can it be possible to have too much stuff?

I used this on my tires last night after Steve's advice and I liked the results pretty well. Unfortunately I had to drive down a gravel road twice today, but I drove about 10-15 mph on it, and it kept the dust down pretty good. I applied it with a foam pad, and it makes the tires look a soft black color. No greasy wet look, didnt look oily in the sun. Plus the tires smelled like lemons :)

Why brand tires did you put them on, and what type of protectant did you have on there prior? I had miserable results using BM-Dash on BFG-MT's previously treated with 303.

I put them on my BFG AT's, previously treated with Eagle 1 tire gloss :( And I dont mean Concours either... Still, nice results.

Thanks for the link. I read a great amount of it. It took two hours or so but it was pretty good reading. Glad to see that the VW guy came out of it ok.

this is not full correction even if 95% correction was achieve. first was interior: 303 protectant and some leather cleaner conditioner.

U got the idea
now to correction part... i start with g110 meg polish pad and 205 and didn`t work , i change with sonus polish pad and 205 didn`t work, i use first time optimum hyper polish spray and meg polish pad , didn`t work. with all this the result was still not to my expectations so i took out of bag flex DA and with 3m ultrafina combo and hit the test panels.
bumpers was the worse , so i have to do 2 tests. one on door and one on bumper.
here is the result, first 3 passes was with weight on flex , the last passes was light to ensure i do not leave any holo or haze.
all test spots was ipa spray , let sit and wipe clean.

Looks much better - nice work! Seems like Ferrari's are well known for having bad spots to correct from the factory workers.

Beautiful work cosmin. The black one was a total mess and you brought her back to life:thumbup:.

They both looked sweeeeeeet:drool5:

Geez that black one was horrible. Good job cleaning it up, they both look great.
Thank`s Jay ,
i end up taping few rubber trims. you should try ultrafina , i know from scott when nothing works than ultrafina is his insurance special when holograms are involved.
i was surprise it work with flex da , 3m made it for rotary.
it does dust, but not as 105. :judge:
Cosmin

You know I have always wondered what is going through a detailers mind when they install the buffer trails. Do they think it looks good? Do they just not care? Can they not see them? It boggles my mind. I have heard the argument that the "just polished" look is desirable. Well it's a shame, especially on that car. Nice work taking them off.
