Holly BF SRC FP and GEP Batman!!!

This Sunday I worked on red SS '91 Toyota Supra. To make it short it wasn't fun. I started from least abrasive setup working upwards but that paint was laughing back at my face all the way till I started using Meguiar's Medium Cut and orange LC low profile 5.5" pad. That showed start of some progress but still did not show any promuise I would end up without any swirls in the end. At that point I decided not to raise the stakes and risk by throwing something more aggressive at it but to not aim for perfection because car itself is not perfect to start with, it is just a DD that needs to get sold, it would be pointless.

So, after I was done with "swirl removal" I wanted to give it some gloss. Menzerna FP II (cut 3/10, gloss 8/10 according to Polished Bliss) did make it look nicer but still nothing to write Autopia or home about. Then I remembered I have some BF SRC FP with me and decided to give it a shot not expecting huge improvement over FP II.

Boy, was I wrong! That thing took same paint that was giving me hard time to much higher gloss than FP II as if it was nothing! Me, and everyone around me, was wowed with result!

At that point I was thinking it can not get any better than that but I felt on the roll so I reached for BF GEP.

Boy, was I wrong again! BF GEP took newfound gloss one step further where that red didn't look just bit glossier but also seemed richer.

Bottom line, BF SRC FP and GEP showed to be worth every penny to me and if you haven't tried them before you definitely should.

Okay this put me over, I am giving in! I just can't decide whether to order SRC FP or 106FF.

I just used the 106FF with a white CCS pad on my truck....it took the paint to a new level....

it did a great job...this is just after 3 minutes...and i had some swirls and marring from winter ice sliding

Did you do an ISO wipedown? Does the BF polishes fill with the extra oils? I have some FP2 and have a hard time believing that the BF versions are noticably better.

 I can not recollect with 100% certainty did I do ISO wipedown on test spot as I am extremely exhausted due to working two 16 hour shifts prior to that. I "think" I did but I will make sure I do side by side of FP2 and BF SRC FP with ISO wipedown once I am back to it (car is not complete yet). Of course, assuming I am not on auto-pilot again.

Good news is that by the time I am back to it I am supposed to have in my hands some PG, BF SRC Compound, 106FF, IP 3.01, and 85RD.

P.S. If one wants to increase working time of Menzerna's should he mix it with say RMG 50/50?
