HiTemp - old fave?

Well, older forum members remember the times when HTEC/HTEC+ was one of the great aggressive compounds. Since then, HiTemp has rolled out the HT-460 Supersonic Cutting Cream. Does anyone have any experience with it?

I liked the HT-420 because it was one of the earliest microabrasive compounds - it was like a rich lotion, and certainly you weren't able to feel any abrasives in it, but with twisted wool it could remove basically the entire paint easily. :D It finished extremely well too.

"micro-abrasive", I.E. not a "crystilene silica". (my spelling sucks these days)

"deminishing abrasive", I.E. an amorphus silica.

The old silica was "sharp edged" and as it broke down, retained the "sharp edges".

It was also carcenigenic due to the dust it produced.

An "amorphus silica" particle is "round" when looked at under a micropscope, and as it breaks down, goes to a smaller and smaller "round" particle.

Much better, but in reality, other than new marketing terms, not that new.
