One of two thing is going to happen here - I will successfully remove the defects on my parents honda accord, or I will remove the paint all together . . . you know, a delorian paint scheme can be cool these days . . .

I just received my Hitachi on Tuesday. I've yet to try it out though.



A friend of mine has a beater that I can hopefully practice on, maybe it'll look better, maybe I'lll turn it into even more of a beater. Only thing is is it's white. I may rent a car for a day as well. Or do the junkyard scrap panel route.



I just picked up a new car on Sunday. It's black. I asked the dealer not to wash it, and he didn't. However, it was definitely washed a few times while on the lot, as it has micromarring all over. Mostly mild, some spots worse. I've been going at the hood with some 83, orange pad on the PC. It's working, but there are a few spots that have required many repeat passes. Whenever I gear up for another pass, I think of how much quicker this would be with the rotary...but I don't dare use a rotary for the first time on my new car.



I need a practice car!!! Now!!! Any volunteers? :getdown
 
SNEEK . . did you trip over your portercable, because i cant think of why anyone would make a comment on a buffers ability to blend in with cement . . . oh snap - did you back over it with a car (i did that with a heat gun one time, not so funny at first, but later i couldent help laughing)



ill be honest . . . i wanted the portercable, but i was not going to let one websites (proper auto care) bad rap let my oppinion of a product down. Many vendors who sell the PC rotary have had returns, and warranty issues. Dam, i wanted to have a PC DA and rotary, but i did far more then "settle" for the hitachi - its very nice. PC is a tad heavier, probably a good thing, but im a rotary newb, so im not even going ot bother posting a illegeitmate oppinion on a product i have yet to use . .
