Highly recommend a glass coating.

DETAILED TODAY?
Had some of the former DP GLASS COATING and did all exterior glass last Sunday. Came out to work last night with very high winds along with sleet snow and rain. Ugly to say the least. While others were scraping their windshield, I put on the wipers, and I was ready to roll. The coating did it`s job and then some. Do yourself a favor and pick one of the many glass coatings offered in the store and apply it! At the very least to the windshield. Your glass will thank you.

In the deep south, I feel it is necessary as well. With all the severe thunderstorms and near tornados, I have driven through. A glass coating is a must!

I`m all about glass coating. It helps a ton for visibility. Plus it`s way easier to clean the glass.

I haven`t gone the glass coating route yet, but I`ve definitely found that an application of spray wax every wash, or hitting the windshield with Hydro Blue when applying to paint, does a good job as well. Visibility, etc.

I`ve always wondered - for those with experience using both methods, is it really that much of a difference to use a glass coating if I am currently keeping the glass "LSP`d" at every wash? Honest and sincere question, no sarcasm intended.

I didn`t find the wax worked as well as even rain-x. I found any of the dedicated glass coatings worked better.

For me a wax would smear with bug hits. But the biggest difference is longevity. Plus the piece of mind of knowing, that when the next storm hits. I`ll be able to see out me windshield.
