Highly modified 997 Turbo correction

This car was especially fun to do because if I had the means(money) this is almost exactly how I would have Sharkwerks do the car.

08 Porsche Turbo EVOMS 700 horsepower kit

PASM coilover suspension

HRE C-21 wheels

Cargraphic exhaust

FVD steering wheel

Short shift kit

Floating rotors

End links

Factory front spoiler aero kit

997 GT-2 side skirts(paint to match)

Tech art Spoiler II rear deck lid/wing

The wheels were really bad,and wheels with a polished un-clearcoated lip are sensitive to harsh cleaners. Normally I would use P & S brake buster or P21s gel for safety as I did not have the option to dismount the wheels.

So I used a new beta sample of Gloss-it wheel gel which is safe but has more bite to it without the fear of an etch mark,so cleaning resumed with a combo of EZ Detail brush and Ace power stick the results were great.

Now this car is only a couple of months old but the usual dealership induced machine holograms and RIDS were there, also the paint work to the wing and front splitter had a ton of left over sand scratches and compound swirls the correction required Megs 105 with a wool pad and Gloss-it EVP,then foam compounding with Gloss-it evolution cut followed by Megs new finishing polish 205 which I think is better than Ultrafina especially on soft paints.

Not guna lie.... thats pretty neat! I would normally probably say that it needs a manual transmission but the paddles might be able to help with that... haha

GREAT WORK

I keep getting more and more tempted by these gloss-it products. I might have to break down and try them.

That car is ridiculous 700hp. Maybe a manual trans could not shift fast enough to make that power worth while.

hey bob, once again thanks ever so much. I delivered the car today and the customer was over-the-moon... He couldn't believe how it looked. It's one thing to detail but it's another thing entirely to correct things like paint on after-market wings. I no longer have to worry so much about getting body work done so much because you'll always make it look good.... For magazines, shows, TV stuff we may not always be the "fastest" car at the events but we sure are the cleanest;)!

Once again you came through for us (as always) and we're lucky to have you out here in the Bay Area. Please do get better soon and stay OFF the knee;)

For those interested this is what these cars look/sound like:

Another 700hp 997TT (also detailed by bob for a cover story):

Amani Toomer's 600hp turbo also detailed for him:

once again thanks to the Bob "meister".... We delivered the car to the customer today and of course he was blown away by how it looked;) Having you do paint correction (yes it sucks to have such awful body shops in our area) on that wing really made a difference under the bright sun light today.

Seriously we're so lucky to have you in our area and I'll tell you one thing whenever we show up to the track, a magazine shoot, a show, a TV thing or any other event we may not always be the fastest but we sure do have the best looking paint! Get better soon mate and stay off of the knee (at least for a bit!)....

Fantastic work !!!! I too think when the weather breaks I may nave to give some of the gloss-it line a whirl

Cheers guys she's ready for a show that's for sure;)

PS Bob the other two 997's (RS and S) are still popping and I'll take them to the Row...

Stunning results.. did u take the wheels off/? how could u get the back side of the wheel so well?

If you looked in the first picture or so you see Bob was using the EZ detail brush to clean the wheels inner barrel.

I see your in Northern NJ, I am too, what part are you from?

It would have been nice to dismount the wheels but Sharkwerks is a BUSY shop and had no lifts free(sigh) as Dave said with EZ Detail brush it made it possible.
