I have really been contemplating purchasing this PTG, I have seen some correction writeups with this as their PTG. It looks like its a reasonable price- $225 from the manufacturer. I have one my father bought so he could tell if a car has been resprayed or not but it is not very accurate, it goes by .5 mils incriments so I have a good estimate but I dont know exactly how much clear is being removed.

My question is is this meter reliable? accurate? a good value? and is $225 the best price for it.

I love mine, It really helped me when a car came in with only 2.3 mils of paint on the roof. If I was to buff that, It would have burned through for sure! And it makes for a more professional image.
