Looks like a great weekend for both of you!

I really need to move down to Florida... my father-in-law says when he retires his medical practice he wants to move down to Orlando and work at Disney. I think my chance may come in a few years.

That pic of Todd washing the golf cart was cake. Reminds me of a picture I have at home of my 7 year old washing her Little Tykes car in the driveway.

I'm late to the party also but great work guys. I'm sure it was all worth it.

You and I both my friend.

Instead of you coming to Chicago so we can monopolize detailing here, looks like we should just go work for David down in FL haha

I could have sworn I commented in this thread giving the usual Fermani / Helme praise but alas, my comment is gone..

Hmmm??

Anyhow, great work as always from each of you!

....=[ wth?! to polish chrome?

Grey Poupon is the best pad primer there is... Not many people do this (sceptics) but the true pro's know that the mustard seed when in paste form provides great lubricity. Additionally, there are some very fine abrasives in it so, the increased lubricity coupled with teh VERY fine abrasives work to assist in final polishing stage

pad primer?!

how does that work? just take it and spread it over the pad? it doesn't do more damagE?

I suppose I should have added a laughing emoticon (such as :chuckle: ) to express the nature of my post - apologies for the confusion.

As a courtesy, I will be happy to take any Grey Poupon you may have stocked up on off of your hands:hide:

David when should I fly down? You need help?

Soon Barry. Maybe around the end of the year. Trying to line up a 80 & 120 footer to work you guys to the bone.

I can drive down.......................

Drive down is 1/100th of the battle. Spending 10-14 days working day in, day out is another. I’ll keep you posted. :secret

Nice work, looks like some of it was fun too... always great detailing with good friends.

Josh

Sure was Josh. Working alone can be annoying at times and Todd is awesome to work with. He can’t stop talking….and working. :grinno:

Yup, Florida is where it’s at for sure. When I told Todd that the Golf cart was next, he laughed at me. When I pulled it out of it’s own private golf cart garage he knew I was serious. Too bad the cart was in drive and I smashed into the front wall. Ouch. I was pretty tired by then. :o

You’re right Jason. I remember that. After you posted the forum crashed and probably 10 posts and 500 views were erased. Thanks for posting again. Much appreciated. :xyxthumbs

btw...you didn't REALLY use grey poupon....did you?

Maybe? :idea

Sure they did. It's the new "it" thing in the detailing community.

Actually an ancient secret of the high volume detailing community. Works great for white wash scrubbing via bug sponge. :rofl

I call ********! Two guys in weekend? Let's try to remain honest on here. We all know there's no way...

You’re right. This whole entire project was a scam. We can’t fool you. It can’t be done. Hype, hype hype…:hide:

Or me either.......

I am also calling BS here guys. Twelve cars, a boat, and a bike in a weekend including a full wetsand on one of the cars all with two guys, throw in the claim that some of these were mobile. Come on now. You might be able to fool most people but you cannot fool the people who do this for a living day in day out.

As you can see by this thread posted by Buffer Barry Theal at least three of the cars in this thread were done at least four months prior. The Drop Head Coupe, Flying Spur and the DB9.

PresidentialDetails.com : Now Serving South Florida - Luxury4Play.com

The incriminating evidence is the Drop Head Coupe. If you click on properties you will notice the pic of the Drop Head on the truck is labeled RR 283 and in this thread the first pic of the Drop Head is RR 268. Looks like your pics are numbered out of sequence guys.:nono

Bob/Richie:

Thanks for showing interest in our workflow. I can definitely put myself in both of your shoes by questioning how this many cars could be detailed in an entire weekend (3 full days actually). I can assure both of you and anyone else in doubt that in fact it was indeed accomplished. Contrary to how others may be hesitant to share their tricks of the trade, I don’t mind and will be glad to elaborate. To begin with, all cars were prepped with ONR. That process alone saved multiple hours when you add this aspect of the process up. Because most of these vehicles were fully corrected by me months prior, the most they needed was just a light polishing/sealing as part of my maintenance regiment. More on this in this thread: http://www.autopia.org/forum/profes...ice-wash-pricing-how-much.html?highlight=wash For this we used AutoGlym Super Resin Polish via a White Lake Country foam pad and sealed with Optimum Car Wax spray. Interiors were vacuumed/blown out and spot cleaned as needed. We basically worked in a combination of my house garage and at just a few clients’ homes. Most lived within the same community and helped us with transferring of vehicles to and from. We tried planning the logistics to work on multiple cars at a time and assembly lined the process as best as possible. Each person shared a process while the other streamlined the car to completition. Case in point; One person would apply the ONR, the other would dry / one did the polishing while the other did the wipe down>OCW / one dressed the tires while the other did the windows…etc. My specialty is doing high volume reconditioning while Todd’s forte is going super OCD detailing on every possible aspect. Hence the title of the thread “High Volume Meets Perfection”. I kept having to tame Todd’s natural gravitation towards obtaining perfection by keeping a focus on the task at hand. The only vehicle we didn’t complete together was the Indy Corvette which belongs to my neighbor. Todd & I taped and DA sanded the car together and we tested a few products products/processes to help get me started on the correction; which continued for several days after. The boat was in very nice condition aside from some correction on the black strips. The 5 series BMW was a New Car Prep. Both of these vehicles were Opti-Coated.

As far as the pictures and the numbering is concerned, as I can say is that I’ve taken several hundred pictures of many/each of these cars with 2 different cameras. All of which are stored on 3 different computers under several different files. Not to mention under 2 different groups in my Photo Bucket account as well as Barry Theal’s PB account who posted the thread on L4P. I’ve actually worked on and photographed the RR 3 different times. Full threads on each on each of these vehicles to follow.

I hope this clears up any misunderstanding anyone may have had. If you guys ever make it down to S. Florida and want to team up to do some cars let me know? I would love to work with you on some projects.

Quite frankly I thought it was a bit distasteful to outright accuse respected members of the forum (I like to refer to you guys as the 'Sages')...whatever happened to respectfully asking?

seriously,:chill: out and have some herbal tea or something--haterade does horrendous things to your health....and karma
