I use it after every wash and it works great. It does have great filling abilities for a wax as you dry product. I am a huge fan of prima and since they are local to me I have their whole line up and can't say enough good things about them. I have been impressed with all of their products. Their amigo glaze and epic sealent are great as well.
 
I've been using Hydro for a few months now and I'm happy with it. Its the first wax as you dry type of product that I've used so I can't compare it to anything else like Aquawax and such. I use it about every second or third wash but never noticed any filling abilities. I guess I never really looked out for that but I'll start paying more attention from now on. I remember seeing that thread listed above a few weeks ago too, but don't remember getting those type of results.
 
I was curiuos about this product so I bought some and had a chance to try it out today. It smells great and the packaging is top notch. Application is easy, I prefer to use wax as you dry products on a freshly dried surface, and it glided on over the paint smoothly and left it very slick.



It does indeed have filling properties. My DD is black and only got a quick detail in the spring so it has the usual small marring here and there, nothing you could see unless you were inspecting the paint. After two hours I took a look and found the paint to be near flawless! I am impressed!



The price is nearly double AW, and I have yet to see the durability (or even the 24 hour slickness) so I will hold out my judgement on whether to buy again. But so far, on a black DD it seems to be the ticket. I think glaze + fk1000 + Hydro will be my go to this summer.

What if you used Hydra and then topped with Opti-Seal which is supposed to add tons of protection and "lock in the look" of something like a glaze/wax?

Yeah but then wouldn't the Hydra still only last a short while? I'm wondering how to lock in the filling abilities of the Hydra for a longer period of time.

They said 'nuba cured works with Optiseal based on past reviews.



I would err on the same *side* and just stick polymer2polymer.

Use Danase or Chemical Guys Glaze followed by a good wax and then top with OS.

I have not tried this combo but have contemplated doing this at some point.
