I just learned about this site from a coworker and wanted to join in with you guys. It looks like you all have a great wealth of ideas and know how - I hope I can learn from you.

My favorite ride is my mid-life crisis car - a 99 Mustang GT

I don't baby this one at all. She sees plenty of road course track events with high speed driving schools.

The tough part is keeping it clean and well cared for, since track duty is tough on a finish. If you ever see a race car on TV after it's finished a race, you know how much junk accumulates after a few hours on a track.

I'm going to spend some time searching the archives for ideas on how to keep it looking nice. Looking forward to getting to know you guys!

Welcome

Hey! Welcome to the forum, now get that car clean! :)

Nice to have ya Jim.

Click the three links in my first post, all are pics (two on track).

The '05 is great! I saw it in person at the Cleveland auto show this year (the silver coupe). Really looks good, like a muscle car, and nice cues from the 67-68 years.

I've got about a month to my next track event, so I'll be stripping my car and going with the UPP system. I was using Macguire's before with ok results, but seeing MattS's work with UPP has me hyped to get my car looking better.

Duh...I can't believe I didn't catch the links:confused: . Agreed, the '05 takes a lot from the 67-68 years. I had a '69 Mach 1 (Black Jade, 351W auto) and I can easily see the resemblance.

Nice car!!!!
