I used Mother's Back-to-Black today on my bumpers and trim. I have a lot of that plastic trim on my '92 Bimmer. It's a pain to apply because it drips and wants to streak, but if applied right, it restores the shine in any color trim, especially black.

It took several attempts to properly apply it without streaks or drips. What I ended up doing was putting a good amount of the lotion onto a terry cloth applicator and then rubbing it in real well. Then I put a few drops onto a foam brush and kind of painted the Back-to-Black onto the trim and bumpers. I let it dry for around 10 minutes, then buffed it off. If it does not dry enough, it will streak white on the trim. However, properly applied it can give a deep, dark black. But it took me a lot of patience and practice!!

I've tried other shinier stuff and less shiny stuff such as 303, but I find that the shiny stuff will drip over the entire car and look horrible, and the 303 is ok, but first of all expensive (I'd like to save the 303 for vinyl and other stuff), and it's not as deep black.

One more thing, the Mother's Back-to-Black gave the tires a very neat glow! But I don't know how long it will last.

After all the lotion dried, I was satisfied with the shine on the trim... but make sure it dries!!!

Our opinions greatly differ. I think B2B is pure shambles. One of the worst products I've ever used. Wait until it rains once. All your work will be gone, and your trim will have a nasty film all over it. There are much better products. Yes, they cost more, but there is a reason for it.

BTW, the car I used it on was an e36 bimmer.

I used B-to-B for while. If you take your time it looks good after applying. But it fades quickly and then starts to wash off with rain and washings. I later tried Black Again (new formula) and its only marginally better.

[/b]</blockquote>I believe both products (only the new Black Again) contain silicone oils which are bad for the long term 'health' of the trim. People don't say this <em class='bbc'>too[/i] often about B2B so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't tried either product for this reason but am getting some of the original Black Again soon:up
