Hello, I've been reading this forum off and on for a year, and although I haven't retained half of the information I've read, I have still learned some great tips.
I've always taken pride in keeping my cars clean, just by doing the basics though, wash, quick detail spray, and micro fiber towel dry....
I'm wanting to go the extra step now, I have a hand full of cars, some classics with original paint and some newer cars I want to keep looking good forever.
I appreciate all the advice, and tips.
For the most part, my cars look great 15 feet away, but up close you notice the paint flaws.
I have a 1965 Oldsmobile Jetstar 88, that has a decent but cheap paint job (painted before I bought it) Has a lot of "Orange Peel" effect.
1971 Buick Riviera with original paint, sat outside for 14 years before I bought it. Plan on getting it re-painted down the road.
2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 with black paint - I've had it over a year and kept the paint in great shape.
2011 Jeep Cherokee - Silver - Daily driver
All cars are garaged, I do a yearly clay bar procedure, and wax. None of the cars are driven in the winter except for the jeep. I'm going to purchase the Porter Cable 7424XP starter kit on this site and get to work. I know it takes a lot of practice, so I will start on the car with the worst paint!
Thanks in advance for tips!
