Hi all,

I'm new to the world of detailing and to this site. I have been lurking around here for about a week or so, reading all your posts and I must say that there is a hell of alot more to detailing than I ever imagined.
To me it was: wash the truck ahhh maybe 2-3 times a year? maybe run it through the brushless car wash another 2-3 times and believe me its starting to show...And thats the reason I'm here :D

Do some searching thru previous threads and you will learn a lot!!

There are lots of talented people here and they will help you if you ask. Good Luck

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I just received my porter cable yesterday,:) and now I need to get some pads and some products, With all the different pads out there is there one that is better than the other, or should I say one that is better for a newbie:)?

Same thing with all the different products. I have a black Dodge Ram so should I be looking for products made for dark vehicles or are they all the same? Like I said earlier, my truck has been pretty much neglected for the last 5 years so I need to start from the bottom. From what I'v been reading, I'm in for a long day since the truck is black, oh yeah and it has a hard tonneau cover which is black too.....

Welcome Serra!

Just wait till you use that PC on that black paint :) I feel there is no better color out there that once its shined up looks as good as black.

Hey serra we are almost neighbors I'm in NH Manchester to be exact... Good luck with everything...

Hi GraniteState,

I'm pretty familiar with southern NH. As a kid my parents always had a camper in the Derry/Raymond area. So thats where we spent our summers. Also when we were old enough to drive, my friends and I would go up to Manchester and cruise Elm st. HEHEHE those were the days.....
