HGSG Question

So after a full exterior detail yesterday (of course), including Klasse HGSG, I walked out to my car this morning to encounter a wonderful coat of mist/dew....

Anyways, my question is simply this: Is the coat of HGSG ruined now?

I used the wowo method, applied EXTREMELY thin, and it probably cured for about 4-8 hours before it got wet due to the mist/dew.

Please say it isn't ruined.... :(

You'll be fine. While it *is* best to keep moisture off the fresh SG, I've had *heavy* rain on fresh SG before and it didn't seem to compromise it any. Just add another layer after the next wash.

Was the dew beading?

Personally, I think you'll be fine.

It was still kinda dark when I was leaving. As far as beading goes, it was mist/dew. It wasn't really beading like it would if I threw a bucket of water on it. I am confident that if I threw some water on it, it would bead appropriately. I did clay and AIOx2 before I put down the layer of HGSG.

I will definitely be adding another layer when I wash it next. Only one question though. Am I going to lose any luster by just adding on top of the "somewhat cured" SG or should it be fine? My original plan, before the dew, was to add a layer of Pinnacle Souveran on top of the HGSG after 24 hours (typical procedure for me). Guess I'll have to push that back until 2 washes from now.

Thoughts/comments/opinions??

P.S. I took some VERY quick and improptu shots today at lunch. The car is slightly dirty due to the freakin dew, but I will post the results later this evening.

I don't believe the SG is only "somewhat cured', especially by now (regardless of the dew/etc.).

I think you'll be fine. FWIW, I always thing KSG looks best after 3-4 layers, far better than 1-2 whether you're topping it or not. It just gains something that I find more attractive (hard to verbalize).

I guess I'll just have to put another coat on to be sure :D

Anyways, here are a few quick pics I snapped during my lunch break today (please excuse the road dirt and whatnot):

Let me know what you think. I will be adding an extra coat of HGSG and a coat of Pinnacle Souveran before the weekend. :xyxthumbs
