Hey old Fart!

Yeah he will (just like a 'few' of us thinking 'is this me he talking about') you others know who you are ;)

Hey, I saw this new thread and thought "Somebody loves me".

In the future please use "Old Fart II" if I am the one being referred to.

I am old, I am just what I am, but will accept Old Fart II.

Grumpy

Heh heh, when I saw the title and the OP's username, well...yeah, I knew :chuckle:

Note that Barry opens phone calls to me with "Hey, you old fart..."

And sheesh, I'm only 52

Barry's been too busy with business and family stuff to do his usual Accumulator-teasing on here lately, nice of him to give me a shout-out :wavey

A mere youngen as yet..

Yeah, that's what I usually think, guess it's all relative. Though I *am* awfully...uhm..."previous generation" about many things. Eh, guess the whole "boomer" thing covers a lot of ground

But ya know, these days when I go off for certain types of training, I usually *am* the old guy in the group, chronologically speaking. Heh heh, makes it even more satisfying when I, uhm..perform to spec ;)

You should buy a corvette! Go to a meeting and you will not feel old :D

Maybe as far as physical age, but when it comes to attitudes, it'll be just like you were in middle school. Same with the Harley groups... OMG clickish.

Heh heh, most of the 'vette owners in my area are in the "white belt and shoes" demographic, use their cars to transport golf clubs :chuckle:

Actually, I've had a pair of pretty hot Corvettes: a turboed '77 when I was in college and a "racecar with license plates" C5 build to my specs by by the guys Mallett Cars (Chuck and Lance are *GREAT*). Driving such cars on the street is simply frustrating for me (all about avoiding being taken into custody/having the car impounded) and I don't do enough track days to make owning one worthwhile. Traded the Mallett in on the S8 and I actually cover ground faster in that.
