Hey Fermani.......

Here's one that we did. Has the side oiler 427 in it. Todd I'm drooling over that green one you worked on. Simply stunning.

How about a real one that Rydawg and I did.

Not only a real one, but the only Shelby to EVER score 100% at the Shelby nationals...

Not only a real one and the only one to score 100%, but the only one that has original paint on 100% of its body.

By far the most valuable paint I have ever polished and the only time were I knew if I burned an edge I was done. (The loss of value could have been in the SEVEN FIGURES!)

This car will be competing at Pebble Beach in the survior class and expected to win best in class by a margin.

:spot

Ahhh fun memories Todd!!! That was an ULTRA RARE car!

I wasn't worried about this car as much as I thought I would. I guess I was thinking of how cool Buddy was.:chuckle:

If you don't mind me asking were did yo get the kit from?

Would you believe I'm so multi-talented I built the frame and splashed my own molds :getdown

No? That's okay, me neither.

it's an rcr (race car replicas) superlite coupe - 80s lemans car. about 60k for a base base base kit, figure to finish building around 120ish.

Now *THAT* is really something! Glad it was in good hands :xyxthumbs

I'll be the jerk to say it, if I had the priviledge to work on a car such as an original paint, original Shelby, I sure as hell wouldn't be wearing a zip up anywhere near the car. Don't take this the wrong way, just something that's a pet peeve of mine. Outstanding work on it though and obviously the zip up didn't come into play in a bad way, just something that poses as an "extra risk" in my eyes.

This is actually a very good point! We should never do anything that we feel imposes extra risk to any automobile we have the privledge of working on. We may not agree on what poses risks, and certaintely if I felt in anyway, shape, or forum that what I was doing posed an extra risk (at the time) I would have not done that.

The reality is that those pictures were taken in the morning, when the shop was still cold (it was -30 outside). As you can see in the following pictures, I actually was positioning myself further away and leaning over (uncomfortable) to make sure I was completely safe.

You are right though, I take no offense, and think you made a very valid point. In the end an invaluable 40 year old paint job, with edge's thinner then a 348 Ferrari, was restored to almost (maybe better then) new condition.

Like I said, it's obvious that the "risk" didn't come into play, and I was not trying to be little you or anything in any way. I've definitely been working on a car when I still realized I was wearing pants with a zipper and stopped and realized and changed. I assumed it was cold haha, thank you for not taking offense cause I was not attempting that. It's just a point of mine I usually take a lot of effort to address in my work and anyone that should be around the cars at the time they are in my possession. It just takes someone leaning in to look at something or stepping too close.

You guys did any awesome job, I was making no attempt to take away from that, regardless of what car it was I was still going to point it out haha. Just wish I got to work on that level car, doubt I ever will simply because of the rarity.
