I was sanding down touchup with a 1000 grit sandpaper and um.
it turned grayish like a chip. it feels level with the black paint though. did I somehow cut through the clearcoat and the black to the basecoat? I didnt even sand that much.. I tried putting touch up paint, waiting 30 minutes and trying to sand it level but the touch up paint just sanded off leaving the gray layer.
Ill post pics in a hour or so once my bro gets home with the digi camera.. just had to post cause Im very very depressed
my method of fixing the deep scratches are like this..
touch up paint..
sand with 1000 grit to make it level..

is 1000 too course? should i have used 2000?
