help with zaino zcs

You specifically said "a carnauba wax better than a synthetic sealant" and told the guy to go back to chemistry class.

First of all the product he/she mentioned is a hybrid carnauba/synthetic blend, so you comment was incorrect there.

I then also mentioned to you that people base their opinions on products on more than just durability. Ease of use plays a huge part. The finish of a wax (synthetic or natural) plays a smaller part and is another argument.

You've gone off on some strange tangent from your initial post, but to answer your question regarding protection, obviously a less durable product needs to be applied more often. However, if the application is a breeze compared to a more durable product that happens to be a nightmare (not referring to either products here) then in most peoples opinion, the less durable product that is much nicer to use will be the preferred choice aka "better".

And to rest your mind at ease regarding any product containing carnauba being inferior to a pure synthetic...I've got a litre of a prototype coating here that just happens to contain a little carnauba that will see Zaino's durability x2.

The carnauba portion is the first to degrade in a blend-and maybe the UV protection degrades with the carnauba portion-you'd have to ask the "manufacturer" and since many companies don't make their own components they might not even know.

Ease of use is nice that's why spray waxes are so popular.

And if you have a super secret sealant that's more durable than Zaino-great. We need more good products instead of the cheap relabeled stuff at overinflated prices.

To the OP – what are you applying the ZCS over ? I’ve only ever had trouble with ZCS when I applied it too thick. Also find that working it well into the paint (gently) with a foam applicator seems to do the trick rather than just swiping it on. Also a good wash some hours later with Z7 seems to settle the coat as well.

The carnauba wax VS synthetic polymer sealant debate will go on forever. I have recently switched from Zymol Creme Wax to the Zaino Product line. I must say that I prefer Zaino shine and protection over the previous Zymol Creme wax. Perhaps I should compare Zaino to more high end Zymol line of products. Durability is very important for us weekend warrior who doesn't want to detail every other week.

to bfh2009 i was using it over blackfire and zaino.

now i started useing the ag hd wax over my lsp and the protection seem really good.

up here in alabama the pollen in really bad right now(cars have a think coat of pollen and i rinse my porches off every other day and the water looks like strong pee lol)

so last night i went to my local diy car wash and just used the soap from the wand and rinsed it down the used the plain water after and got all the soap off then went out to get some stuff i needed ans the car was fully dry(and yes i know better than to wip[e it down lol i just go the dust/pollen off)

and the water just sheets off the car looks like i did a full wash this morning.

I used CS on an aluminum trailer. I recently ran it through a coin op and a section near the top which doesn't see much road debris was still beading after 2 years. Needless to say I was shocked.
