Help with Pad/Product Combo on serious scratches

Working on an 89 Maxima with tons of scratches on the roof and trunk lid (I suspect lots of grocery sacks have been sliding off these areas since 1989 LOL).

Tried Meg's #83 and an 8006 pad for a long time and removed some, but am frustrated that I don't have enough aggressive combinations to completely remove. Suggestions on Pad and chemical combo would be appreciated. Maybe this calls for a rotary..what are the thoughts on this?

I have almost the same condition of paint on my 1997 626. I used Megs diamond cut compound. It is rated 10/10 as far as cutting ability by megs , it is quite harsh but got rid of or severely diminished a pile of scratches that i had. You do have to be somewhat careful with it as it is the heaviest cut that megs has.

SSR 2.5, and a nice cutting pad my freind.....Follow up with a lesser abrasive, maybe 2.0 or #80, add a little VM with a polishing pad, then seal 'er up!

That 8006 aint gonna do anything with DACP....Make sure your pad supports the product.....
