Brad B. said:That came to my mind as well. We put so much effort into examining paint we forget that other surfaces and materials benefit from a thoughtful strategy, too.
Look closely at the fibers, I use the same magnifying lupe I use when I look at paint. This will tell you the state of color and also the quality of the fiber. The more worn and frayed they get the more they lose the color. Worth a look.
I use SOFT detail brushes to massage in the cleaner in specific areas in concern. I never use stiff nylon brushes that many companies sell as carpet brushes. They just tear up the fibers. Bad news.
