Help - Washed car with Dishwasher Detergent - Cant get white streaks off Car or windows! Washed it three times already and the white streaks will not go away. Tried white vinegar, windex, high pressure wash, no luck!!

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks so much!
 
Why did you use something strong and harsh like that ? Try some cleaner, cleaner wax or polish Like Meguiars Color X or Klasse AIO..If that doesn't take care of it, try something stronger...
 
Rewashing with P21s Total Auto Wash is a good idea, but that stuff is pretty much internet-order only isn't it? Or is there some substitute that's available in motorcycle shops?

I too think you need to employ a chemical-and-abrasive polish. Meguiar's and Mother's both offer OTC stuff that would be a good start.
 
I agree. Head to Autozone or Pep Boys or WalMart, etc. and get some quality shampoo. Mothers or Meguiars are great choices. You never mentioned what wax/sealant you were going to use. The next step....polishing/waxing....is important so what are your plans?
 
Just a caution... I see steel wool 0000 suggested for use on glass in several threads but before you use it check if your car has a factory applied permanent water repellant coating. Steel wool or any heavy abrasive will remove most or all of this coating.

( I just re-researched the name..) I think s100 Total Cycle Cleaner is the equivalent motorcycle product that is available in a well stocked motorcycle shop.
