HELP: Touchup paint spot gone bad...

Conundrum

2006 Accord V6 6spd Coupe
I just wanted to get your opinions on something (sorry, not pics avail atm):

Anyhow, I touched up a few spots last night with a paint pen (proper colour code and everything), and looking at it afterwards, I think I made it worse. Basically, the touchup paint is completely dull, and I'd almost like to backtrack to before I put the paint on (hindsight is 20/20 kind of thing)...

Anyhow, I don't own a rotory or random orbit, but I was wondering if I took it to a detailer if they could use one to polish up the spot, and make it blend a bit better. I should add that my car is a Honda Accord in Graphite Pearl/Metallic (clearcoated obviously), however I didn't use the clear end of the pen as I have in the past, and that was a definite mistake as the clear is like water. I know its possible to blend in somewhat by "melting" the paint using the proper rubbing compounds and pads, and I know this will never look completely invisible as its deep enough to catch, but really all I would be after is to not have a small "dull" patch on my hood, that shows up in every light (whereas before it was only in some lights). My only other big worry is that in doing something I'll make things worse than they are now, and if a rotory or ro is used that in "melting" the touchup base and the original clear, I'll end up with a murky spot on my hood even when all said and done).

Anyhow any suggestions on what to do/if anything can be done would be greatly appreciated.

if your unhappy wipe it off with cellulose thinners

What are cellulose thinners?

I bought the Langka kit online this morning after posting (apparently the blob eliminator can remove all the touchup paint, or atleast most of it)...however I'm not getting antsy as I ordered it with 1-2 day shipping and I still haven't heard back yet if its actually shipped or not...starting to get worried that it will not come in time.

Update, I got the Langka complete kit, and am going to try tonight (PRAYING on a miracle here). If anyone reads this and has any tricks/tips that aren't listed on the Langka site, please let me know...

I also bought this Langka kit but don't think it will help me as my primer, base paint and clearcoat are all PENS, and the instructions seem to indicate that painting is required on deep scratches or paint chip which is what I have on my motorcycle gas tank. Good Luck. Let me know how it goes.

Well all I can say is that the Langka worked AMAZINGLY...

I figured with having to wait so many days (4-5 now) to get this stuff due to processing and shipping delays, I was screwed. Took all of 15 seconds per spot and I removed all the excess. The scratch that was driving me nuts is still there, but I'm ok with it, as I never should have touched it in the first place (was only visible in 1% of lighting, and after touching up I had a blurry blotch that was visible in ALL lighting).

I used a pen too, and I figure it shouldn't be an issue with Langka anyhow. I mean, they say to touch the spot with the paint brush (not pen), but you can always go over multiple times with the pen until you "fill" the spot, then let dry and use Langka's methods for removal of any excess.

THANK YOU Langka for giving me my baby back....

Unfortunately for me, I successfully filled the paint chip first with primer, then paint (2 coats) and then clearcoat, waiting the required time between applications, and with the Porter Cable and abrasive polishes leveled the overspray blob on the perimiter of the chip. It is now smooth, and very shiny. The only problem is that the color is a very light version of what it was originally, so it's a mismatch. I wonder if I rescratched that area a bit so there is a small crater again, whether or not I can be successful if I can make a new attempt using the Kit.
