**HELP! Need help with removing tire shine from Asphalt Driveway!

I own a mobile detailing business and one of the crews last week decided to spray the tire shine onto the tire instead of using a pad (Like I had showed him). The customer of course called us very upset that her asphalt driveway has four stains from the tire shine. And to make matters worse one of the guys stepped in it and left footprints on her driveway. ( I had to let them go, but Im still stuck with the problem). Her driveway is black new asphalt. The tire shine they used is Detail Kings Super Blue Tire Dressing (Solvent Based).

I went out today and tried scrubbing it out with a Awesome Degreaser and followed up with a power washer but she emailed me back with some pictures and it seemed to have made it worse.

I need some help with someone who has had this problem and has found a way to resolve it. Thanks!
 
It's asphalt. It should go away on its own pretty quickly. I think the only reason it is noticeable is that it is new.

I wonder if Tarminator would work to break down the very top layer of asphalt to fix it.
 
Oh man sorry to hear. I've always been a fan of Cat Litter to remove oil stains. Let it sit overnight and it soaks it all up. I've spilled motor oil on my driveway before and it cleaned up. Most auto parts stores have oil spill cleaners too which will do the same thing. Maybe pour the oil spill cleaner on the spots on the driveway and place a bucket turned upside down on top of them with a weight to prevent anything from blowing away in the wind overnight. Or contact a local driveway cleaner to give you an estimate on a fix or repair.

Thanks for the input. I've been doing some more research and keep hearing people say Simple Green & Cat Litter. I'm just looking for someone who's encountered this problem and has successfully solved it. I have an upset customer who is looking for some solutions...
 
Its asphalt - petroleum based product, right ?

Anything you put on there that reacts with petroleum based product will have an effect - good or bad, so if it were me I would be so careful what I did, seeing the Client is upset..

Did you call the people who laid the asphalt down and ask them what would work and not harm anything if there is such a product ??

Not seeing any pics, Im having a hard time visualizing how dark black, asphalt can be harmed in a way to now look different...

If I were to try anything on it at all, it would have to be something that absorbs the dang silicone, etc., that was spilled on the 4 places, and let it absorb hopefully, the extra oil, and see how it goes...

I seem to recall poorboys making a driveway/asphalt cleaner, if I recall review I believe it worked pretty well. Id be careful using products that will break down the solvent product as its going to effect the asphalt as well. Probably why the client said it looked worse.
 
Simple Green undiluted. Agitate with a scrub brush if the surface is fairly porus (non-sealed asphalt)

Kitty litter may make things worse as it's introducing clay.
