The black leather in my 2005 545i looks spotty in areas. A fellow detailer suggested it might be sweat stains.
What can I do to get the leather back to black?

What have you tried to clean and condition the leather? What was your process for application and removal of cleaner and conditioner?

From looking at the picture, the seat looks to the front passenger seat. The spot looks like a small spot of wear from ingress and egress.

It's not egress/eagress wear. It's a patch of leather that is faded or somehow become discolored.
I've tried scrubbing with Lexol then buffing. I've tried cleaning with diluted woolite. And I've tried applying then buffing 303.
Nothing has worked.
Do you think Zaino z9/Z10 might work?

if those havent worked then i doubt z10 with do that much. take it to u're bmw dealer and have it fixed. that is NOT part of wear and tear and should not happen. especially since u're bimmer is a 2005. my dad still has a 745li from 2003 that is not cared for at all, with no window tints and does not look like that. i had a problem similar on my mini cooper. i had applied armor all (prior to my dc days) on the steering wheel and after time my hand print was left on the top of the wheel. the dealer replaced it.

if u're dealer does not fix it, contact bmw NA and let them know. again. this is NOT noremal wear and tear.

I agree with Joyriide. Since none of the products worked, then I would tkae the 5er to the dealer for warrany claim.

LOL, it can be so fun to go to a BMW SA and ask for that- NOT! I'll try, and I'll let you know how long it takes them to tell me to piss off- and then they'll thank me for my time by washing my car with sandpaper and a dirty rag, LOL!

if u do not receive satisfaction from the dealer then contact bmw directly. bmw na and sa are never quite happy to hear a customers dissatisfaction and are quick to contact the proper dealer and have it fixed. trust me. it would be very expensive to replace and this is not a fix it u're self type of thing. it will need to be replaced.

if the manager at the dealer doesnt help, then keep climbing the ladder until someone does.

I agree if the dealership will not help you then ask for the district manager for BMW.....He will be able to get you attention....they don't like customers that are not happy

Question
Did these spots appear right after you got the car, or from someone riding in the car with wet clothes? Its more of how did they get there?

Hot bags of fast food? Hot pizza boxes?

I have no idea how they got there, they just kind of gradually appeared. That seat is the passenger seat, which is unoccupied 90% of the time.

Should I be asking the dealer to replace the whole seat?
