You can't go wrong with Zaino Z2 and top off with Z8.

Please register your location. Someone on this board will be nearby and probably can get you a sample of his favourite (and help you apply it). All of the choices above are great, but check the reviews on this site for sealants. You'll find that Zaino sealants are considered among if not the most durable. My preferences are to use Z-AIO followed by Z-2 or Z-5 PRO depending upon the color of the car. Z-5 gives a better result on darker cars and helps cover any blemishes. I put about 3 layers of Z-5 alternating with Z-2, Z-CS, and Z-8 on my dark cars. Since they are garaged when not being driven, the application lasts at least a year. But a good cleaning and a couple of layers of Z-5 PRO will give you great durability and look good.



DO NOT USE A SEALANT OVER WAX!!! You may use a wax over a sealant, however.

I agree, for a sealant Zaino is the only way to go.

Another vote for Duragloss #105. I have the Wolfgang and the look is incredible.....the durability is not.

If what you want is a sealant that really makes the flakes on metallics pop, then UPGP is your best choice, IMO. All the other sealants already suggested are great, but UPGP brings out metallics the most. Durability is also excellent.

Thanks for the suggestions... I have DG111 already.. forgot to list it in the original posting... wasn't impressed, guess I really don't like that sterile sealant look.



I am debating on Optimum Opti-Seal and Ultima Paint Guard Plus. I may also give FK1 1000p a shot since it is a solid performer, although its not the flavor of the month.

Another vote for Duragloss #105. I have the Wolfgang and the look is incredible.....the durability is not.

I think the real poll is looks vs durability. I would take looks if you want to spend some quality time on your car...every 2 to 3 months. I want durability over looks in my motor oil.

For metallic Zaino Z5,Z8 & ZCS. OS is also real good. I have been experimenting with a product from Deep Finish called SWAX, on metallic nothing looks better its deep,wet and the pop is awesome. If you don't care about durability CG Wet Mirror Finish is incredible . I have found that AJ & AJT mute the metallic as does more than one coat of AW. 105 is not bad but doesn't have the pop like some of the others.

Dogma, I have some SWAX sitting on the shelf that I have never tried. Need to give it a shot and see what happens.

I prefer to use my PC to apply. Also the more coats you put on the better it looks ( I have done up to 4 ). You have to try their QD DeepDetail.

Yeah, just put a coat of fuzion on. I dis a small spot and you could not tell the difference. I'll give the deep detail a try. Thanks Dogma!

Danase Paint Sealant! Cures almost instantly, can be layered right away plus the looks are really good. Add to that is just $20

Zaino or Klasse for looks and durability, you get a boost in looks and durability if you use their AIO's first. Klasse is more economical, Zaino is easier to use and has a pleasant scent. Nothing I've found is near as durable as these 2. Oily sealants that may look nice, don't look nice for very long at all-as in days not weeks. Z or K is very deep wet look.
