Help making a clear coat shine...

Poorboys have an excellent glaze for white and light colors called White Diamond. Its became my go to product for unabused light colors. Not to take away from any other suggestion, but its one of those great products that get very little hype and discussion. It also plays well in the sun.

next time do before and after pics if you can. i'm sure someone here will pick up on what you're missing out on. do you bother stripping the current finish before you start ? some finishes like ultima paint guard plus are so slick that some waxes will not stick to it and you wouldn't see much improvement. maybe the clear is a scratch resistant clear.

White and silver are a challenge because the swirls/defects are hard to see. So the problem may be your initial inspection and decision not to try a polishing step.

Sort of an obvious idea, polish a small area with M205, Menzerna, your favorite, etc… and then compare to the adjacent "wax only" panel.

Yeah, I'm thinking I should have tried a polish on the BMW or a Sealant...

I've been liking that Poorboys Polish with Carnauba. I recently ran out and had to use Meguires ultamite Polish, boy that stuff doesn't compare to Poorboys. But for 7.99 I guess you get what you pay for. I will have to give that White diamond a shot. :bigups

Yes I always use a good wax stripper before I polish. This BMW was still smooth as glass after all the wax was taken off
