HELP! :) In trouble ...need advice please

I am in trouble....Girl friend is coming over with her Volvo for me to show her how to get some spots out of her paint and detail the rest of the car. I am OK except with the spots



I have a new Portor Cable that I bought as a kit from 1 of the 2 top places here on the forum (forget...been a couple of years ago) and it came with pads.



I am using the Klasse twins and will use the AIO to get the spots out (I hope >>> they are not difficult...like little tree droppings of some sort and can almost get them out by rubbing hard with fingers) ...



BUT the main question is what color pad should I use...the kit came with 3 I think I will go get the colors...hold on :o



They are made or distributed by>>> The Perfect Shine

and are :

white

orange

and gray



Please help me keep out of trouble with the Miss and not loose face :usa

Can you try claying first?



KAIO may remove the spots, but I wouldn't want that garbage being stuck in the pad and rubbed all over the exterior.



If you don't have any clay available, make sure to clean the pad frequently.
 
Im guessing pads cuts are as follows:



Orange - Light cut

White - Polishing pad

Grey - Finishing Pad



With the spots if they are sap then the only luck I have had is to remove them using a razor blade and quick detailer as lube. It can be risky but I have done it many times before with great luck.



After you wash the car make sure to clay it. This might minimize or even remove the spots. The razor blade should be one of the last things you try.

I just got a PC with pads, and the documentation with the pads says the white ones are finishing (for applying wax/etc only) and the grey is a final polishing, or something. Orange is light cut. Are the color codes always the same?

I just open up a new PC that I bought over a year ago and there is no wrench....????
 
You can just use a Screwdriver to hold the backing plate in place then just spin the backing plate until it comes off. :2thumbs:

No problem at all glad I could help, if you dont want to use the screwdriver method all the time I have a PC wrench you can have...if you want it just PM me your address and I'll send it out to ya.
