Help, how to clean in between emblems

My question is easy, how do you clean and polish in between emblems and other such badges??? What tools are used etc...

Synthetic paint brushes (short hair). The kind you'll find at art stores or just about

anywhere. Home Depot, Staples, Pepboys, Ralphs, Rite Aid, etc.

I use my vapor cleaner to clean all the dirt and wax build up out and then good old Q-Tip

Hand full of gravel.

Foaming glass cleaner and a shot of compressed air usually knocks them out right quick. A nice clean emblem in about 2 seconds flat LOL. Works great.

The *real* hassle is polishing out marring from those areas...getting inside the "A" in "Jaguar" or the "P"/"O"/"E" in "Porsche". I often use cotton makeup balls and a sharpened wooden swab stick for the aggressive work, but it can still take a loooong time.

If it's an extensive enough detail I'll remove the emblems and reapply them with 3m tape.

Prior to buffing, take a 1" soft bristle brush and cut the bristles down to about 1/4" with scissors.

Use degreaser and work the brush around the emblem, and rinse with water as you go.

I use the same method on rubber trim. It really cleans it up, and helps the masking tape adhere.



After buffing, use spray wax or quick detailer on the emblem and work around it with the brush again. Then use a microfiber towel, and wipe clean.

Make sure all residue is removed from around the emblem.

( I do the same to the door jambs and body lines that retain wax. )



Then do your final wash. The emblems will be spotless every time.
