Help a newbie ;)

Ok, I took everyone's advice and bought a PC for my 911. I bought the optimum kit w/ polish, compound, orange, white, and grey pads. I started with a pretty bad deal that i screwed up when i used turtle wax rubbing compound and applied it by hand...lol then i sealed it in w/ about 6 coats of Klasse SG.. :doh

Anway, today i started with the polish and a orange pad. That didnt seem to work out too well. so i switched to the compound and a orange pad. This seemed to make a pretty decent cut, but it is still no where as good as i would like it. It seems as if most of the fine swirl marks have been removed, but quite a bit are still there. I showed this in the pics the best i can.

I've done some research and i'm following the rules to the best of my ability ;) by only working on a small 2x2 at largest area, and working in the compound for about 3-4 minutes on speed 5-6.

I should also mention that this paint im working on is actually only about 8 months old, and 80% of that 8 months was spend in the garage (winter).

Do i need more aggressive pads?? am i doing something wrong?? or do i have unrealistic expectations??

Pre- PC work!
