Hello everyone! This is my first post here. I've been reading the forums for a while so decided to jump on.

Here's some pics of what I did with my mother's car on Mother's day. I decided that besides the meal and gifts to detail her car...

To give you a background, her idea of cleaning the car is to take it through a drive through car wash once every half a year. The paint was seriously neglected and covered in bird crap, tree sap and splattered bugs.

I don't have any before pictures as it didn't occur to me to take pics until after I'd finished and I was standing around admiring the finish. I started at 12:30 and finished a little before 6pm.

Looking back I should really have used a light polish, polymer sealant and a carnauba after the exfoliant clay but I decided to go with the Zymol Cleaner Wax which I had lying around and followed up with 2 coats of Pinnacle Signature. I think a few more coats of Pinnacle and I can bring really bring out the metallic pearl flakes in the paint but I had to stop myself before I got carried away.

The interior is another story. It seriously needs some work but I kinda ran out of time and energy as the exterior took more work than I thought.

Anyway, here's the pics. I'm fairly satisfied with the finish but I am going to go over it with a polymer sealant in a few weeks to protect the finish knowing how neglected the car gets. My mother was very happy and said it looked better than new. :)

Very nice work...

Nice Evo, I check out NorCal Evo from time to time and have seen your posts. Careful posting pics of your Evo on here. People will give you **** about the wheel and tires. It's happened a lot around here. Just a litttle FYI you know.

Ahhhh... there is nothing wrong with the wheels, they seem to fit the character of the car quite nicely IMHO. What brand/model/offset are they? The rears seem like they might rub during hard cornering, or have you rolled the fenders? Sweet ride either way, I love EVO's!

Haha, I know. A lot of people don't understand the "JDM Flush" look. The wheels are from my friend's drift car. I don't normally drive around on them.

The wheels are Enkei RPF1 18x9.5 +15 offset. Really light racing wheel, even with tires they are much lighter than the stock 17x8 wheels.

And no, they do not fit without rolled and slightly pulled rear fenders. I like it, gives it an exagerated cartoon kind of look and an aggressive bulldog stance. :)
