I've been lurking on this board for way too long so I thought I'd finally say Hi.

This site has been tremendously helpful and even though I'll never be half the detailer some of you guys are, it's nice to see so many of you contribute your professional knowledge and tips.

Thanks a bunch! And my car thanks you too!

Thanks for the warm welcome fellas!

Do any of you guys go to the clinics held by Meguiar's?

Maybe I didn't look carefully or misread the info, but it seemed like the invitations were more for certain car clubs like Corvettes and Mini Coopers.

Also, what websites or brick & mortar stores do you West Coast guys like to order from? I remembered that there was someone that sold from California (some of the members likes his MF towels I believe?), but CA tax kills the deal.

I ordered the PC from autodetailingsolutions and the guy that runs that place was very curteous and professional, and shipping was quick since it came from AZ. I also ordered from AutoGeek and their service was great too, but ground shipping from FL took awhile.

Yeah, been to a number of Meguiar’s events. Just had my car club’s detailing day yesterday. I’ve met some great people and made lots of friends (like SpoiledMan :) ) at Meguiar’s events. I highly recommend them.

The Saturday classes are scheduled for car clubs but if the guest club doesn’t fill the class (by like, the Monday before) anybody who joins MOL can sign up. Just keep an eye on whatever day you’d like to go. More often than not, there’s enough space to squeeze in.

The Wednesday night sessions are freeform so anybody on MOL can sign up. Unfortunately they’re only going to have a couple more this season. It’s starting to get dark early so after that we have to wait till spring for more Wednesday sessions.

As for vendors, I buy towels and tools all over the place (including ADS) but I buy most of my chemicals locally (well, I buy chemicals from ADS too). Even with Ca tax local online vendors can be plenty competitive. Excel Detail’s great.

PC.
