Hey guys, little lurker here and finally joined, member from autogeek and thought i minus well join this awesome site aswell!
I`m from southern California and part time detail on the side, as full time i currently work with my dad and brother doing carburetors on old hot rods and such.

Heres some of stuff i`ve gathered over the years.

G21 Boss 6.5 bp
GG6 6.5 looking to convert to a smaller bp since the new g21 took over.
Some megs 105 and other products and also 3d products hence there right behind my house haha.

Anywho, thought i`d welcome my self and tell a little about me. Looking to hopefully learn how to post pictures and threads on here with fellow detailers!

Welcome, Bigry19 -
Glad to have you aboard.
Looks like you have some good equipment - and yes, smaller backing plates from the 5.5" and on down will certainly allow much easier use and the ability to get into those little places better..

I knocked out a few carbs back in the old days of the big -3 - Holley, Rochester, and Carter... :)
Bet these kids dont even have an idea what Im talking about.. :)
There were even more higher performance exotic carbs back then too...
Hope you guys are making them all good again !

Thanks for the welcomes everybody.
Thanks Dan! I sure wish more kids my age were into hot rods/muscle cars or knew more about them.
I`m only 22 but learning quick! Atm i have a 92 s10 with a 406sbc solid roller with currie 9 inch and 350 trans with Nos.
Ran a 10.80 quarter mile up in new york on motor alone. when they had it. I have a blast driving it around town.
Looking forward to the forums!

I love Holley carbs. Never cared for Carter/Edelbrock carbs. And Predators...Those were something else!

Funny timing. In the process of moving and got to a box where I have a set of Weber DCOEs waiting to go on a project. Of all things, a Honda motor that is fuel injected! hehe. That should be fun.

Welcome, bigry19! I`m also from SoCal. Near South Gate / Anaheim / Huntington Beach (Woman`s, work, soon-to-be-former home)

Double pumpers on race day, Carter`s for everyday driving (not the Thermoquad, just didn`t like those). Rochester`s, well... if we have to. No, seriously, a QuadraFlood could run quite well. When you`d stomp on a QJ and open those big spread bore secondaries they`d sound like the atmosphere was disappearing. Every Ricky Racer on the block would flip the air cleaner lid on a QuadraJet over and listen to it. You may or may not be going fast but either way it sounded like you were. :)
