Hi. New to the forum. Just bought a 2003 ML350 and it has cloudy headlights. Any suggestions on how to clean them up? How about those headlight restoration kits floating around. Any advice would be appreciated.

Try some polish first! I used Four Star Body Shop Medium Cut Compound on mine (99 Dodge Cuad Cab) last night, and it made about a 95% difference. I assumed I would have to wet sand, but not after polishing. Its funny cuz I will use the PC/UDM on clients cars but never really paid attention to my own.

Use wetsanding as a last resort only!

Thanks for the info. Where can I pickup that polish? Also just elbow grease with a terry cloth towel or MF or pads? Thanks again.

Why do you say wet sanding is the last resort with headlights. I wet sanded mine yesterday with 2000 grit, then polished it with my buffer and some plastic polish and they look gorgeous.

Normally polishing will remove most of the oxidation. Theres no need to wetsand unless a polish wont accomodate your needs.

Polishing is no doubt an easier route to attempt first off.
