I join to gain more knowlege on detailing. I like to detail my own cars. Right now I am trying to decide on a new polisher. I have a pc but the vibration is getting to be too much for me. Any suggestions on a polisher that doesn't vibrate so bad.

Welcome to AF! Vibration is unfortunately inherent to a Random Orbital style polisher. Rotaries are smoother and typically considered to cut faster but require a bit more skill to use. I'm not trying to scare you away with that statement. This isn't rocket science and with a little dedicated effort a rotary can be mastered by most.

Welcome from Raleigh.

The Flex 3401 is a smoother running machine but it comes at a price of over $300.

:welcome: from Morrisville. I use my PC without the handle. I simply hold it by the head. Reduces the effect of the vibration a little. Proper counterweight and frequent breaks helps.

Welcome to the forum! I really like my griots garage polisher, but I think you are going to find they all vibrate a good bit.

As noted rotaries and the FLEX DA don't vibrate as much. If you want to stick with the safety of a random orbital then you might want to look at the Meguiar's G110v2. At least in my experience the soft rubber body (and perhaps other design features) make it the smoothest running of the DA's.

Oh, and welcome to Autopia Forums! :welcome:
