Just a quick introduction. I have recently retired from NASCAR where I started as a lugnut washer 25 years ago moving up the ladder to team engineer, crew chief and finally Engineering Manager. I worked for 3 major cup teams along with a number of smaller Nationwide and Truck teams throughout my career. I had fun, I have boxes of hats and t-shirts along with a few championship rings. So life has been good. But the business has changed so much I could not do it anymore. Like everything else money has ruined it.

So what does anyone know about franchised wheel repair? I have been a car nut since I was 8 years old and I want to do something to occupy my time, work in the car business and make a little cash. It looks like an OK way to make $$ without much investment. Like anything else there is good and bad with it. How bad are dealers to deal with? I know a few and most are snakes in the grass. Do they pay their bills? The guy who works for free gets the job? etc. LOL.
Any other ideas on how to make a few bucks in the car business? What is the next big thing you see coming down the road?

I really appreciate any feedback or suggestions you may have.

Yea, that is the one I am looking at. I just need to know what you guys and gals in the business know about this type of service.

The guy that is local to me has a great business, I use him as an out source for my part time detail business, its a great add on for customers that have curb rash.

He has quite a few dealerships and used car lots, for the higher end cars..MB, BMW, etc. Today's high profile rims are damaged way easy. With this technology most all can be fixed at a fraction of the cost of replacement.

If I didn't have a well established guy in my area, I would think very serious about buying in
 
Cool, the only ones here are Joe xxxx wheel repair. They use scotchbrite and a rattle can to do quick and cheap repairs. I will have about 20 BMW, MB, Lexus, Audi, Porsche and Acura dealerships in my territory. So maybe it will be worthwhile.

There are two outfits by my shop. They are right across the street from each other. It doesn't seem to hurt their business. One ships nationwide.
