Hi,
After 10 years in the car wash business I'm finally following my dream and opening my own detail business. I'll be on my own for the first year or so, doing the work and running the business end. I just went and hammered out a lease agreement today so I'm pretty excited. While I was waiting for the landlord to arrive at the new site I had a chance to count cars. About 20 of the cars that went by in the first half hour retail for over $50k, not a bad sign. I've purchased my chemicals, equipment, and will start on signage and a website soon. I hope to be up and running by the first of the year. In the future if everything goes right I'd like to bring in a pdr guy, a window tinter, and learn wheel repair. However, for right now the plan is to keep it simple.
