Hello from Bay Area, California (soon to be OptiCoat Pro!)

Hello everyone!

I'm Alexander from the Bay Area and I'm soon getting my vehicle opticoat pro for the first time ever!

I've been researching on forums first to see if it's a good idea and I saw some good information on here!

Thanks a lot and if anyone could help me out, is OptiCoat Pro a great idea for a black car? I wash my car everyday so I wonder how long it'll last getting it. I got tricked by my car dealership for a sealant that only lasted a few months :[

I can't suggest Joe (Jsmooth) at Orinda Auto Detail enough. He's one of the best detailers and OCP installers in the country.

Lol that's pretty funny I have an appointment with Joe at Orinda!

I talked to someone else who did OptiCoat and he's recommending that I wash my car with Chemical Guys Glossworkz Shampoo (two bucket method). Afterwards use the Sheeting Method to dry. Then use Detailed Image Waffle Weave towel to dry the car.

He doesn't recommend any daily quik detailing/using a squeegee/california dusters as they are the reason where swirls could occur again.

Hey Alex! I look forward to taking care of your Honda!! And if you like I can happily go over all the maintaining tips with you and even set you up with a proper wash kit! Oh BTW I am an active member here :D. Thanks Guys for the positive recommendations! Alex you can look at some of my post and find the process your car will go through! See you in a couple weeks!

Wow that's pretty funny my detailer is into forums! Now I feel even more comfortable about you doing my car (i was already comfortable from the beginning haha)! Thanks Joe for helping me out with washing tips after you do my car, I look forward to learning from the master. It seems everyone on this forum knows who you are :cool:.

I saw you took pictures of the car before and after, will you do that for me?! I would love to see it myself too!!

Do yourself a big favor. LEARN FROM THIS GUY.

He will teach you the right way to care for your car. He does an incredible job and gives customers more than they know. He just does it right

I'm looking forward to it! As much as your excited to have me on a forum I love the fact your on my favorite one! This forum is where I truly "blossomed" so to speak. Everyone here is beyond helpful, and the whole reason I took my detailing from being just average to what it is now. To this day I push and strive to make sure anything that leaves my shop would be "Todd approved". The guy who runs this forum sets the bar for mind blowing details, so I copy! You'll learn soooo much here and everyone will happily share, really a great place! As for the before and afters, I'll make sure to do a full write up on your car! I'm excited as of now you'll be the first customer I have that post here! So grateful for ACC forums!:autopia:

Welcome to the best detailing forum, Alex. I frequent other detailing forums but this one is by far my favorite. You're in good hands with Joe. I'm planning on taking my next vehicle purchase straight to him for a new car detail.
