Hey how's everyone doing? My name's Steve and I have a 1988 Honda Civic DX model and it's in pretty rough shape:( I'm getting the car resprayed eventually, but for now I'm busy doing an engine swap and all the suspension parts.

I've always loved detailing cars whether it be my old Cavalier or my mom's new G35. I'm gonna start browsing the forums and seeing what it's like here. Thanks!

Hey Steve....

Welcome to D-City! I'm a fairly recent member, but I've been detailing since the 70's (I'm old).....

Be sure to check out all the forums. They are very helpful and TONS of good info on products and techniques in there.

Feel free to ask any questions you have.

Welcome to the site, and let me welcome you to the rather limited membership of those on the site representing with beat up EF civics. My CRX is is a similar transitional state, what were you going to swap in?

I'm putting together a Frankenstein setup in a ways. LS block and crank, Civic Type R pistons, GSR head, and a GSR tranny. ITB's are also planned for the future and a set of Toda cams and valvetrain along with a set of beefy rods:D

Nice, I'm personally saving up for a custom built dart package that closely mirrors the CTR setup but with forged titanium rods, JE pistons, other super-light goodies, cryo treated, ported, polished, everything. I'll probably put about 6 grand into the motor but I'm estimating 10k reliable rpm and daily drivability. About 300 hp with mild boost would be my power goal, not bad for a 1500 lb car.
