Yes!



However, my recommendation is don't wash the pad unless it really gets dirty. Instead, put the pad back in the supplied Ziploc baggie so the polish does not dry.



When you need to wash the pad, I recommend using HD TOTAL. If the pad is REALLY dirty, I spray spray it with a few shots of HD TOTAL and then finish washing with a little dish wash soap in the sink. If my pads need to be cleaned while I'm using them, I spray with HD TOTAL and towel them clean/dry.

HD UNO likes small diameter, low profile pads (both wool and foam). For cutting, use any of the euro-blend pre-polymer foams with closed cell structure. For finishing, use soft open cell foams.

Wow that was one of the best write ups I ever read. To be honest it is making me think I may be over my head. I planned on purchasing the HD Uno hand kit and putting in a couple of hours of tough labor polishing followed by a couple coats of wax...but tha write up is making me reconsider. I cannot but a Orbital anytime soon and I want to do a pretty decent job on mine and the wife's cars. Not too sure how to proceed now.

I just checked out that article, I think you would have been done hand polishing your car in the same time it took to read it.....:geez

Paint is OK, however I bought my car used and it does have a lot of light swirling that you can see when the light hits it at the right angle. If I can improve it to look a lot better but not perfect I would be happy with that. Negative on paying someone, if that were the case I would just get a PC. Cash is tight now with a little on on the way so getting a PC isnt too high on the priority list. I was also thinking about buying some Meguiars D151...but I would think HD Uno would be better/easier.

Uno is just a polish therefore no durability to speak of. Otherwise its a good product, a little rough on the removal- still waiting for them to release a note on how to remove with ease... waiting 1.5 months already.

As I said before, just reduce the speed to minimum and go over the area. It will come off with ease.
