HD UNO: World's Best Hand Polish

I need to get some of this! It looks amazing! How long do you suppose a bottle will last? I know that it is hard to judge that because some people use more/less than others.

I average 2-3 oz. on a car that needs light polishing and 4-5 oz. on a vehicle that needs corrective work. A vehicle that is wet sanded (for orange peel correction or repaint) will take 6-8 oz. with wool cutting pad and foam finishing on a rotary.

There are no fillers in this product? I put some between my fingers and rubbed them together for a few seconds and could not get this stuff off. Felt very sticky like it has silicone in it.

This product is in use in body shops. No silicone!

What you are feeling is the "secret sauce". The lubrication developed for this polish is what allows it to have a very long open time and cut very clean.

Please try it and do an IPA wipe down. You'll see.

:buffing:

Please don't take this as being negative, maybe I am missing or confusing issues here. On another post I thought I read that UNO needed at least a DA with a 4.5amp motor or better. With this demo I am confused can you please expand on this more?

YES, you did read this! :dig

Between the time of that original post (call for testers) and the actual product release date, we had yet another breakthrough in the product development. The latest HD UNO (internally it is version 2.5) works very well with:

- Original Porter Cable 7424

- UDM/Meguiars G110

- Griot's Garage DA

- Porter Cable 7424 XP

- Flex 3401 (with a 6.5" to 7" "Euro orange foam pad")

- Rotary with 7" to 8" wool and/or polish foam pad

What is this on the abrasive scale?

By DA it will remove 2000 grit wet sanding marks with a little effort or 2500+ with ease.

By rotary with our wool pad it will remove 1500 grit wet sanding marks with ease and finish with virtually zero holograms. Holograms are rapidly polished away with HD UNO and a finishing foam by rotary or DA.

Can't talk about abrasive level because it's not like a traditional compound, polish or finishing glaze. It's abrasiveness is completely dependent on the pad you use to apply it. Apply it with an aggressive pad, and it will cut like crazy. Apply it with a finishing pad and it will jewel like nothing you have ever seen.

HD UNO is a 100%, went-back-to-the-drawing-board paint, plastic and glass polishing solution. If you put HD UNO between your fingers, you'd be hard pressed to feel any abrasive at all.

Thank you for the clarification.

I went ahead and ordered the kit from their website. I had a bunch of swirl marks and scratches put in my paint earlier this week because a ******* doing a demo for a wax in an aerosol can called FW1 wax sprayed and wiped down my new car without my permission. Now, I am trying to figure out the best and easiest way to take it out.

Anyways, I was wondering, can you wash and reuse the type of pad that comes with that kit? If so, what is the procedure for that?
