HD UNO Reveiw with wetsanding

good to know, how many of both HD pads would you recommend to start of with?

Al,

The pads are pretty darn tough... Although, it is a brand new product, so I'm sure there could be some bumps.

One thing I should mention. I don't "wash" my HD pads. After use I spray them with HD TOTAL, wipe them off with a towel, and put them back in their baggie. They will last much longer this way.

Will you be making pads big enough to fit on my Flex 3401?

I just got the same question by PM...

We are testing several sizes of the new pad material for use on rotary. So far, the size I like the best on rotary is 6.5". This should be okay on the Flex.

In 30 days or so I will put out a call for Flex and rotary testers.

In that case, kind sir, please put my name on your list! :D

Barry, Just one wipedown with straight IPA?

IME there are a few polishes that need 3x wipedowns with straight IPA to show the truth.

Great write up Barry!

I can't wait till I get my sample to try out.

I talked with David Fermani on the phone earlier and he tried the interior stuff and he said he was VERY impressed!

It's funny, I had a pad design in my head 6 months ago and it looks exactly just like that pad. I mean identical!!!!!!!!

Is the black suspension foam stiff?

Yes. :buffing::buffing:

Nice! I actually just recieved my samples and this is the exact foam design I had in my head...:up

I actually have a lot of experience with the euro tangerine foam and this is the best foam on the market. Wool is now obsolete.

Maybe. I'm not so sure yet. Wool still has it's place and the right wool pad works very well with UNO. I will be asking for UNO rotary testers soon (please don't PM me about it... I will let everyone know when we have a wool pad designed that we think is a perfect match to UNO).

Great review Barry. I do quite a bit of wet sanding myself and would NEVER

think to use a DA for P2000 with a foam pad. And a 2 step on black?!

Cuts like M105 and finishes like M205...that's ridiculously efficient. Heck,

it's unheard of. Seriously.

OK, i've been holding off on saying anything on the HD Total. But...this is

also impressive stuff. I've used the entire bottle on one nasty car: engine,

wheels/tires and interior ($12/car). It is effective on engine/wheels so much

so, that i was hesitant to use it on the interior. But i did. Impressive!

Now, the only concern is cost...more thoughts on that later.

OK, the HD UNO...I MUST try this! If it as efficient as you say Barry,

then it could save me and quite a few others in my field, TONS of hours.

I'm having high expectations...will pick up a PCXP while i'm at it.

i got a buddy who lives on another island that is testing out HD Uno. Hopefully i can get a chance to hear what he has to say and be one of the lucky testers =)

Stuff sounds great.

Hello David, You mentioned something about Cyclos -well, I'm now the proud owner of one so I'm interested in your polish/pad. On the Cyclo web site they have a section for uses with other products like AM and Megs, not too impressed with AM and after failing to get a handle on M105 v1 on a rotary - I'm a little skittish about buying - trying v2 - even though it's supposed to be wonderful on the PC now. Let us know when the 4" pads are ready, and any chance you get something like the Edge ones?
