HD Speed 2 Month Review

If there was truth in advertising, the best products in the world have already been invented for every process. There is no need to improve on anything.

As a Dire Straits song once said, "Two men say there Jesus, one of them must be wrong". (Ya ya, I quote from Dire Straits too much.)

In the case of waxes, I have heard countless companies say they are the best in the world. Makes me laugh every time... :grinno:

I think 3D's marketing is equivalent to what you can expect from any company. We use adjectives that makes our products sound good like any other. And sure enough, we boast that we have great products, but we dont say we are the best at anything. Its up to the user to see if it works best for them.

And as David said, long lasting can mean different things to different types of people. Heck, a long last sealer wax to a car wash is a wax that lasts till the next car wash, sprinkler, or rain.... Any Autopian would laugh at such foolishness...

Thank you Accumulator for your post. I know some members are out to "get" HD. I wonder why.

That's disturbing, I don't know why anyone would be just out to "get" HD for no reason either. They should at least try the products themselves before talking about them IMO.

The way I read that is "hey, everyone else does it, so we do it too" ... I'm not sure if that's the appropriate PR stance a company wants to make, or at least not one they would say in public anyway. Every product does, of course, "toot their own horn" and that's all a part of marketing, but it isn't until those products are used by the masses and reviews come in that either gives credit, or discredits that particular product.

True, long lasting can mean so many different things to so many different people, if taken directly off the label. But here on this forum, their has to be some sort of consensus on what that really means, or more importantly, what it doesn't mean.

BTW, this is not a bashing post, before anyone accuses me of it, it's my opinion.

Sӧuveran is described as being durable
AG is still able to sell it as a stand alone LSP. Yet everyone knows that it doesn't last.

If I can get 3 weeks out of Express Wax on a contaminated car, I scratch my head how SPEED can't last 1 week.

Are you saying Speed is only lasting 1 week for you? Or referring to what others have posted about it only lasting a week?

Agreed, and IMO it's more, uhm....realistic than some others I can think of.

Not just AG either ;) And lest somebody miscontrue, I *like* both AG and the other place I'm thinking of, and I like/use Sӧuveran.

I don't really expect somebody to describe a wax as "looking pretty OK and lasting for a little while" ;)

:ban:

Just kidding, didnt take it that way at all.

Hows the common disclaimer go? The thoughts, expressions, etc, are those of the poster and not necessarily those of 3D International, LLC. :D

Now that I got that out of the way....

More goes into our marketing, I am sure, than just using fancy adjectives. I feel the adjectives we use truthfully describe our products. We dont use fancy words just for the sake of hyping a product beyond its expectations, as some other companies do.

Your always a crack up! So true though. "Our value brand oil should get you 3000 miles and maintain a minimum standard of quality." :rofl

Nope, he is obviously not saying about himself. Only what one(or two) have said about it which you keep bringing up at every opportunity.

Actually, I didn't bring it up, I responded to Thomas bringing it up :D
