HD Polishes?

Think about ordering some, I am most interested in HD speed seeing I do a fair amount of one steps. Like to hear some feedback pad/product combos, appearance, durability?

Reading alot of good post about the HD polishes but like to know how you guys are useing it and what are the results on different finishes(hard/soft paints).

Thanks Jamie

The HD Speed that is available now is a completely different product. And I mean it in the best possible way.

The product was finished the day before the 3D show so you will not get much feedback as of now. If you order it, get their yellow cutting pad with HD Speed. This combo was correcting very well and finished awesome on toyota black as well as Chevy black paint.

Thomas--Maybe it's just me, but there seems to be a real lack of information regarding the the new UNO. Info like what are it's advantages over V4, does "less is more" still apply (note the instructions and video say 6-8 pea size drops not 3-4) etc, etc. And does HD Polish follow the "less is more" philosophy or not, etc, etc. Same with Speed. Perhaps you can fill us in???

I figured it maybe a bit early for feedback, but from the link above looks like a awesome product. Thanks for passing along the info.

Still the same, less is more philosophy, for both products. UNO can still do 3 in 1 duty. It also comes off easy. However, using non rotary polishers, on flat black paint you need a less aggressive product to eliminate the very tiny "pigtail" marks. Use UNO on a metallic black paint and UNO is the only product you will need.

Having said that, the new HD POLISH is an amazing product. I spent 5 days on a black Mustang and it was the best looking finish I have ever produced. Thanks to UNO, and POLISH.

That link uses the old formula. What you can buy today is a different animal.

Still the same 3 to 4 drops, but it depends on the pad you are using. Harder cutting pads, use you more. Soft foam, MF, wool, you will use less. Do you have a scratch? Put a good amount right on top and go at it to quickly level it. It all depends, but in general, do not over apply. Less product works better.

As far as applied pressure, UNO as a 3 in 1 I am guessing you are playing around with speed/pressure to finish out properly with one pad. Or maybe cutting with a more aggressive pad and finishing with a less aggressive pad, using UNO as your only product?

No no no......

You use 3 different pads, not just one pad. Wouldn't that be a special product?

Although, depending on the paint a 2 step sometimes will create a perfect finish.

LOL, I thought that was to good to be true... Where would be the best place to order? I am on the east coast.

If you're looking for something with substantial cutting ability, I'd just use UNO or SPEED. I've just used POLISH for final finishing. Not sure exactly how much of a cutting role it can tackle yet.
